Built in 1973 and renovated in 2009.
Designed by the architect Paolo Rizzatto, it suited the structural philosophy, paying particular attention to the Mediterranean problems that existed on the island at the time, such as the absence of water, electricity and the high summer temperatures that can be well managed with the natural ventilation in space.
In terms of location, the pine forest was chosen because it is protected from the sun and, after spending hours by the sea, was considered a perfect choice.
The decision was to make a limited investment as it was thought to be a holiday home and therefore should have been managed at a modest cost.
The first project was to use the available materials found on the island in the past, with the original stone, the “cotto”, the traditional “majolica” and, for the windows, a mysterious wood called “melis”. Everything is made as chosen, except for the overpriced stones.
In 2009, architect Matteo Fantoni's project has undergone a restructuring of the roof and interior to add two bedrooms on the first floor and two full bathrooms.
